About our Pastor
Reverend Ronald A. Smith Sr.
Pastor Ronald A. Smith, Sr. has pastored Community Bible Baptist Church since December 2000, at which time he founded the institution. He is married to Cynthia and they have been blessed with 7 children and 11 grands.
Pastor Smith is a native of Miami where he graduated with honors from Barry University. He has also pursued his Master’s at Trinity Theological Seminary in Newburgh, Indiana. He was licensed to preach in October 1993, under the pastorship of the late Rev. Dr. Joseph C. Coats at Glendale Baptist Church, where he served for 29 years.
Pastor Smith served the first 7 years of pastoring as a bi-vocational pastor. He retired from 31 years of service as Airside Operations Division Director at the Miami-Dade County Aviation Department – Miami International Airport.
Pastor Smith has earned a plethora of honors and recognitions, but his most treasured acknowledgement is that of “the community pastor.” He is truly loved by children, youth, adults and other pastors for his love of the gospel and his commitment to the holy command of Christ “to love the Lord thy God…, and love thy neighbor… .” Building the kingdom of God on earth by becoming the loving hands of God has been his mission, one soul at a time. God has brought many to Christ under Pastor Smith’s ministry.
